Marines want out of Iraq. Call Jean Schmidt.
So the Marines want to get out of Iraq, and just focus on Afghanistan.
Typical cut-run-and-surrender crowd, eh Rush Limbaugh? Bunch of cowards, as Jean Schmidt famously said. (Youtube.)
Or... the Marines are smart. I should have seen it coming, though. That's just like the Marines, always trying to be different!
Side note: The NY Times article above really highlights the funniness of the capitalization convention among journalists regarding "Marines." You'll notice sometimes it's capitalized, sometimes it's not. The reason: When used as a noun similar to soldiers, sailors, and airmen, marines is lowercased. But when referring to the United States Marine Corps, it it capitalized. (I break the style and usually capitalize it always. Bias.)
Example: That marine has been in the Marines for three years.
