Speaking of abandoned subway tunnels...

In my Sunday, March 12 post about Romania's public transportation system, I mentioned the subway system that my city - Cincinnati - began in the 1920s*, but never completed. Well, today, the paper has a story on the two miles of tunnels, with some of the history. Apparently now there's (yet another) plan to actually use them. I'm not holding my breath.
*In my original post I said the tunnel project was abandoned at the onset of the First World War. Actually, they were built from 1920-1925.
