EU threatens US with sanctions; Maybe the bird flu has them feeling down?

The latest news in the Boeing-Airbus trade battle is that the EU said it will reimpose trade sanctions on the US, because the WTO announced today that US tax breaks were unfair. The US has three months to start playing fair.

In other news, bird flu has hit the EU. Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, and Romania all have confirmed bird deaths caused by the H5N1 strain of the virus. Slovenia is waiting on lab results for some dead birds near the Austrian border.

Note: Bulgaria and Romania are applicant countries, but expected to join the union soon.
