A couple more points on the cartoons...

1. At least the United States is out of the crosshairs! (Note to Pat Robertson: SHUT UP.) But seriously, Miguel does bring up a solid point in the comments below: Where are the American newspapers' editorial pages on this issue? Furthermore, where are the U.S. politicians? Are people pretending it's not a "globalized" world - which is supposedly led by the United States - now that a hot topic is spraying some sparks?

2. The EU is almost referred to as a country in a lot of this coverage. And note that the Palestinians took over the EU embassy. There hasn't been an EU declaration on the matter, as far as I know, but I've always said foreign relations force identity integration more than anything. Or, perhaps more precisely: external pressure solidifies internal bonds.
