Bird flu blues

How tragic is it that something as beautiful as the swan is spreading bird flu across Europe - birds now have it in Austria and Germany. Bird cases have been reported now in Iran, which is no big surprise since neighbor Turkey's already got it in both birds and humans. Russia's got birds with it, too.

Not to mention Africa, where things are pretty rough in Nigeria. And African birds migrate back to Europe in a few months...

My supply of bottled water and canned goods is getting low. It's time to stock up again.
